I just wanted to break the silence here and speak momentarily about what I'm doing and what will be coming. I've started performing music a lot more in the last month or so and that picking up has been a nice bonus along with my new job. Today is a day for my wife and I to celebrate our love for each other, and as with all other such days, it's been a day of reflection on where I've been and thoughts on where I'm going.
I've also had the opportunity to teach at church on Wednesday nights. We have become a part of a small church plant out in Kaufman, a small town outside of Dallas. The pastor has encouraged us both to pursue our giftings and the teaching opportunity has been a great one, driving me to go deeper into the Word and preparations for studies. This month I've been teaching on the Bible: what it is, why it is important and the most effective ways to build regular habits of reading and study in our lives. I'm planning to take my lesson plans and create a series of posts out of them, in between writing the next lessons, gigs, and etc.
Now back to your regularly scheduled peace and quiet.
